How do i get my parents to quit freaking out about me going on a roadtrip with my boyfriend this summer?

SOFT DOG MUZZLE TO COMPLETELY STOP DOG EATING?

I need to find a soft comfortable muzzle for my small terrier dog. Poison has been put down in places where I have to be able to walk him so I need something that will completely stop him being able to eat or drink. It needs to allow him to breathe properly and preferably pant, but I dont want one that is open over the nose area as I would be scared he could get poison through it. A few years ago I found some on ebay that were solid material up to half way up the dogs snout, past the mouth, and then mesh over the actual nose which allowed them to breathe. My 5yr old son is being mean to small animals...how do i get him to stop?

My 5yr old son has lived with him mother all his life up until about a month ago, when i filed for emergency custody and was awarded custody of him. Today when i picked him up from the sitters they informed us that he has been being mean and cruel to their cats and dogs. They said they talked to him about it and we tried to talk to him about it and when we asked him if he thought that when he slammed their cat up against the wall it didn't hurt the cat he said no...and when he was throwing a ball at their elderly dog he thought it was funny. I was shocked by his answers and punished him for what he had done. i am at a lose as to what to do. Now mind you while living with his mother he was allowed to watch movies such as Child's Play and knows all to well who the Chucky character is and believes that he is real. She is also seeing a convicted man, since Oct of last year, who was sent to prison back in 1991 for murder 2 on an 18 month old child and seems to have no issues with what this man has done. My son has told my wife and i that this man has been abusive to him but will not tell his mother anything because when he tried a few times before she told him she wasn't going to make him leave because she loves him. I am looking into getting him counseling ASAP but i guess i am also looking for a few answers or helpful tips to help deal with this in the meantime....

My social life kinda sucks?

I went from being extremely social to anti-social. I got into a little trouble 2 years ago with underage drinking(i was immature, and havnt touched alcohol since then) i uaed to hang out with tons of kids Nd had a girlfriend. A "purebred Bullmastiff" breeder sold us a mutt dog....?

A couple of weeks ago we bought a dog from a breeder; drove 16 hours to get him, and paid $1050 for the dog himself. Since the day we got him I had a gut feeling telling me the dog isn't a purebred his features look nothing like ones i've seen before. He has no wrinkles, and his snout is too long. Hes 9 weeks old and looks nothing like a Bullmastiff. His coat is somewhat long and black, breeder said it was extremely rare and was shocked that ALL the dogs look this way. I took him to the vet for the first time yesterday and the first thing the VET says is "Why do they have you down as a Bullmastiff your no Bullmastiff!" I just looked at her and was like "you gotta be f***ing kidding me, he better be." She said "Well, I just saw one today and he looks like a black lab mix." This isnt the first time we heard this and now coming from the vet, I'm pissed. The dog is AKC registered although im not an idiot I know that even if they are AKC this doesnt exactly guarantee that the dog is from the parents the breeder says they are. Anyways I got a blood DNA test done at the Vet and will know in 2-4 weeks what his result is, although I am 90% sure he is not purebred. I am willing to work with the breeder because I honestly don't think she knew although by now she must have some speculations because she still has 2 of the dogs from the litter. Anyways I'm looking for some legal advice, I really don't want it to escalate to the law but I will sue her if needed. Also I live in SC ans she in TN, so thats the doozy right there a big ole' pain in my a**......... Thanks for the advice in advance.

Kitten in space--Should I be worried?

So recently I bought a pet kitten. I thought she would be a nice companion, as I live alone in an apartment. She has been very well-behaved, until today, when she just decided to turn into a pink frosted toaster pastry. Neighbors dog bit my dog through the fence. Who's responsible for upgrading the fence so this does not happen?

My wife and I moved into a new house. 80% of it is fenced in with a 6 ft high wooden fence, but 40 feet of the yard is only fenced in with metal rods that are about 5 ft high. There is about 6 inches between each bar, so our lab can get a little bit of her nose through the bars. The first day we were there, our dog ran over to see the neighbors Golden Retriever and instantly was bitten on her nose. She has an inch long gash on her snout, but is otherwise unharmed. My question is, who's responsible for getting a better fence in place, so this does not happen again? We've had seperate contractors come out and they want to charge $1,600 to finish off the wooden fence in our yard....this is $1,600 we can't afford now. Should the neighbor be responsible for part of the cost, or should they have to upgrade their fence, since they have the hostile dog? Since this has happened, we've tried to be friendly with the dog, but it will viciously come straight for the fence and ram itself into the fence. Our lab is only 8 months old and very friendly. She thinks the dog wants to play, but as owners we can tell the other dog wants her for breakfast. Please help!

See if you can make friends with another mum, and swap babysitting with her, so each of you gets a morning, afternoon or evening totally to themselves every week. Even a small amount of time to think only about yourself rather than the baby can be very refreshing and help clear your mind. If you feel desperate to save your relationship, then go to couples counselling. If he wont go then go by yourself, it will still help. With things getting as bad as physical violence I'd just leave, if it was me, but it's up to you. Improve your life in whatever ways you can, and try to get into couples counselling, and see if maybe with the help of a professional you can sort out some way of being together that's better than this.

you could try art teacher, you can work with people and still be involved in art. Exhibit design at a museum takes artistic talent (This is what im going to school for) and lots of people will see what you have created. Set design for plays or movies. Animation for either movies and cartoons or video games. There is a lot of interesting stuff out there that can make you happy and if you work hard will earn you a living as well

Hello boxer need advise? long....?

Boxers don't have long fur to keep them warm like some other dogs do. He hasn't really built up that much of a tolerance to being outside for that long, i wouldn't think. but I'm not an expert. Is it too hard to sweep and/or vacuum the hair? I have 3 dogs and 2 have long hair. I just sweep and vacuum iy up at least every other day. Maybe you could try and train him to stay off the funiture if that's an issue, rather then putting him outside?

My boyfriend is nine years younger than i am?

I am in a very difficult position at the minute and would like some advice. Firstly I am a 30 year old female and my 'boyfriend' is 21. Why doesn't my dog like me?

This makes me so sad that she likes my mom and dad better because i bathe her i feed her but she sleeps in their bed and refuses to sleep for long in mine. Hello. I am an assistant manager for a local gym in my area. My general manager quit about 4 months ago and we hired a new general manager. I trained her for about 2 months. She has never done the job right. I have assumed most of her responsibilities while she spends most of her days working out while on the job. A member complained to the owner of the gym. The owner came to me and asked me about it. I told him the truth. She is lazy and abuses her authority. She calls off all the time leaving me to have to come in and fill in on my off days. She has been now adding extra duties to my job, making me fulfill more of her duties and has had an overall sour attitude towards me. Is it legal for the owner to tell her what I said? Whats wrong with my dog?

She is a 10 year old German Sheppard mix. We have taken her to numerous vets many many times. She refuses to eat and is extremely skinny. The vet believed she had either liver cancer, or liver disease. But they could not determine which. But she now has a new symptom, she has a growth just below her lil girl parts, she is spayed though. She is often licking at it, its looks red, swollen, and a bit bloody. Her other symptoms include: lack of appetite, small bump on the end of her snout, and she is usually tired. She does not act like she is in pain, other then the new growth. Does anyone have any idea what the problem could be or anything we could try to get her to eat? We have offered her nearly everything. Thanks so much!

Almost 2 week old (12 or 13 days old) baby hamster!!!!!!???

My hamster had babies on the 31st of March or April 1st I'm not sure. But the mom has gradually ate her babies and now just one is alive(for now) cause I cleaned out the cage and then I put the mom and dad back in for a few minutes and then I slowly held the baby up to the mom (on a spoon) and she acted fine and I slowly put it in the cage (still on the spoon) and she went over to it and I thought she was giving it a bath and when I came back from getting her fresh water she bit her baby!!!! She had it in her mouth and was winding it up like a spider winds it's food up and my baby hamster is bleeding from it's nose and on top of it's snout thing!!!! Dog has pain in the head?

Chinchilla...just because I am addicted. Chins are lovely little animals with the softest fur in the entire world. They are nocturnal so they will sleep all day while you are in class/work and be ready for play when you get home. Chins have nearly no smell unless their cage is not cleaned out regularly. They actually remind me a bit of cats, which as you know make you earn their love. they are very playful little brats and cute. Search chinchilla popcorning on youtube and you will see what I mean. My brother and I have been stolen from our safe, loving home with our father and are being forced to live with our abusive mother by a familial court judge after 6 months of us choosing not to have contact with her. My brother is 10 and I'm 16, and at our last hearing, on June 20th, my brother and I testified for the first time in 4 years after going back and forth to court for our neurotic mothers erroneous accusations against our father who has done his best to protect us from our mother since she kidnapped us in 2007. When my parents divorce was finalized in 2009, the judge granted my father full custody of me and my brother but now, with out even looking at any of evidence my father, brother, and I have built up over the past few years against our mom, and with out even taking our ages into account, the judge just ups and changes the custody arrangement. Also, my mom has lied about EVERYTHING every time we went to court and she has not been punished for it in anyway. Look I could go on and on with the details but the main point is that this judge has made a ruling that is completely morally wrong and illegal. My father has contacted basically every one for help, including DHS and ( even though we now they couldn't do much) the FBI, but no one has done anything. Does anyone know of someone that could help us? Is there some way to over rule what the judge has unjustly ordered?

Why is my dog getting bald patches?

Stop dog pooping in house?

i don't know what to do. He's 11 months old, goes outside with the other dogs several times during the day and night. He see them go outside and not get punished, and I've seen him go outside too (I praised him a lot for that), but he still poops in the house. 1 of the two dreams I had last night was exactly like in real life I went to school and I came home etc. But the whole dream seemed to revolve around these dogs. My dad loves my fiance and has no problem with our engagement, but sometimes I'll come home from work or school and my mom will be waiting for me to tell me she is leaving my dad because he supports my engagement. She cried for a week once because my fiance was trying to make me feel better about a grade that I was worried about, and she decided that it was all his fault and he was a bad influence on me and wanted me to fail in life. She says he lacks ambition and will never amount to anything, when he is a top student in his program. Her childish behavior is nothing new, as she frequently packed her bags and "left" my dad numerous times throughout my childhood over things that seem silly, and then came back a few hours later. Everything sends her into an emotional panic and there is no rest in our house. She really has a hold over our family, and we all walk on eggshells to keep her happy. The thing is, I love her and she loves me and she isn't necessarily a bad mother, but I feel strangled. At the same time, I do not want to hurt her because I can't stand it when she disapproves of me. I am terrified to even mention my relationship around her anymore. Everyone else's engagement is a happy time, and mine might as well be a cancer diagnosis. How do you introduce a basket muzzle to a dog who's never had anything on his snout?

I took my dog and had him fitted for a basket muzzle yesterday afternoon. He's never had anything, like a Halter, Canny Collar or gentle leader, and doesn't like wearing the basket muzzle. It wouldn't be a permanent fixture, but he has to be muzzled when in the back yard for a little while. I don't know how to get him used to wearing it, other than just slapping it on and hoping he doesn't hurt himself with his back and fourth shaking, scratching and terrible dying-animal noises!

I was just wondering what your opinion on sex before marriage was. All throughout my childhood and teenage years all I heard my mom talk about was about how sex was for married people and how she would be so disappointed if one of her daughters was out having sex and still living under her roof. I am so frustrated and mad right now because my step dad grounded me 2 days ago because i talked back to him and said a cuss word and he took away my makeup and computer because of that. What to do when a tick head stays stuck under the skin?

So i have a little West Highland White Terrier puppy who has a tick on her snout. I took it off with a pair of tweezers, but i think the head is still inside. The area around where the tick was is swollen and it looks like a little part of it might be inside. Have you examined it closer to see what it may actually be? My cat did this once. When I took a closer look I saw something black and saw that it was one of my daughters hair ties! Apparantely she had swallowd it and was having trouble passing it all the way. I pulled on it and it came out. She complained a little but was fine immediately after. I would say you should take a closer look and if it looks like its part of her don't pull it and bring her to a vet. If its a foreign object try to gently pull it out. Also she might be able to pass it on her own. If the problem gets worse bring her to a vet.

I suggest a cocker spaniel (english or american) or perhaps a beagle or a basset hound. All of these fit your description pretty well but really a lot of the temperament depends on the personality of the puppy. Go to thee library and get several dog breed books out. Pay attention to the ones I mentioned though. The best way to know the puppy for you is to meet them face to face. If possible go to a local animal shelter and get a puppy there. The dog might have temperament problems but many shelter animals don't have an aggressive or abused personality. So get out there and look around, I'm sure there's a dog out there who wants you for their owner and would be perfect for you!

Atheists don't necessarily put faith in only scientists, but more in humanity in general. Atheists would rely on themselves and other people than something that they can't sense. They know that humans (scientists in particular) are trying to help humanity (for the most part). You cannot KNOW that there is a God who cares at all about humans. To me, it makes more sense to put your faith in something that you KNOW is trying to help.

A question about my dog?

I notice my dog tends to rub his muzzle or snout a lot, he does this everyday, sometimes when he does it he will roll around on his back and make weird noises. Sometimes he will hide his face with his paws when he is on his back, like he is hiding. So does this mean he is happy or ? should i be worried.

Is it okay to wake my bearded dragon up when I get home at night?

I highly not recommend doing this because that's a way of causing salmonella and with him being that small, i'd suggest that you let him sleep in his enclosure it'll be safer for both you and the beardie, this is a reptile and an animal that is cold-blooded and not some mammal or bird that'll cuddle up right next to you all the time, he just lays there because of your body heat to get warm as you've listed above but one day you'll find that lizard gone (REALLY!) i'm not sure if your a light sleeper or what not but if you are or if you're not, you won't know if that lizard will still be there every morning and possibly one day you could find him crushed up under your body, injuring or possibly killing your beloved pet or he could somehow escape but i'm glad that you love your pet and i'm pretty sure you try your best to give him the best care as possible but this is something you should not do with an animal that belongs living within enclosures or more likely a REPTILE! it'll only create more problems and get you and maybe him a disease.

I need help figuring out what my beagle is mixed with?

I was told she was a Dachshund Beagle mix, but i dont see the dachshund in her shes got all the charicteristics of a beagle tho but her face and snout is alitte shorter and her ears are just alittle bit shorter then a beagle, and shes alittle smaller then a normal beagle bread, she also hase these huge brown eyes, like beagles are known to get obies easly if you dont watch ther diet and give them losts of exercise, but dotson (my beagle dog) shes really tinny as in skinny and kinda tall, she stays tinny like that. How do I get my puppy to behave better?

It's just my mom and I living together in our huge house and she is always taking vacations with her boyfriend, so she and I made the decision to adopt a puppy to keep me busy while she is gone. I have raised a puppy once before when I was 11 with the help of my family, but this time around it is so different. Sammy, our older Cocker/Dachshund was such an easy going puppy and so eager to please. He was the smartest in his puppy obedience class that we took him to at Petsmart in 2000. Teddy, our 2-month old Pointer/Dalmatian puppy is very different from Sammy. He bites me HARD on my arms and legs and sometimes even my face. Sammy has never bit me, even when he was a puppy. I've gotten a little too angry at times and hit him on the snout probably too hard a couple times. I just get so upset because I do EVERYTHING for this dog. I take him out to go potty every two hours, I buy him food, I pay his vet bills, I rescued him from the pound. I am just so pissed off with this animal! Not only does he chomp down on me constantly, he chews on everything he gets his paws on (and I JUST found my usb cord chewed into two pieces), he disrespects the older animals in the house and when I try to take him for a walk, he bites and tugs on the leash the entire time (no exaggeration). Help with my new green anole..?!?

Hello(: i got a female anole yesterday at petco. right now it has a UVA/UVB lamp and heat lamp(60wts) above the 10 gal tank. im feeding it crickets and it seems to like those. the tank has a stump looking display i bought at walmart that has plastic plants protruding. also, how do i keep the humidity level in the tank? i am using a $1 spray bottle i bought at walmart and put purified water in. I spray the tank like every hour but i feel like there is a better way or maybe i am spraying it too much? ive been told only to spray it twice a day but i got a hygrometer today and im having a hard time keeping the humidity at 50% constantly. within an hour it goes down to 40%, is this bad? also, would it be appropriate for me to hold the anole or not? she is approx 5-6in from snout to tip of tail, please help! ive never had a reptile. how long should i leave the lights on? all day? i was told it is only supposed to be on while im awake and off when i sleep but ive read that the anole turns brown when its cold or stressed and green when its warm and happy. it is usually brown by morning and i dont know what to do.
