My family disapproves me joining the Marine Corps what do i do?

They feel that I'm selling myself short, and after countless of times of me trying to explain to them why I'm doing this, they are still against it. They have gone as far as telling my recruiter to leave me alone. I still want to be a Marine, and make a career out of it. What should i do to handle the situation?
