Is Spongebob gay, I saw the show today and......?

He has lots of stuffed animals, lives in a fruit, wears short shorts, his conservative neighbor hates him, and he acts kind of like a flaming gay guy. (Skips, giggles, stands on one leg, climbs into bed with other males, ect.) I don't disapprove, but I am curious if he is or if it's just a lot of coincidences.
